Dr. Booth is a Royal Society Fellow at King's College London.  He was a primary developer of Full Configuration Interaction Quantum Monte Carlo (FCIQMC). It is a new approach to the many-electron problem which uses Monte Carlo techniques to sample the configuration space of Slater Determinants.  He will speak on recent developments in this theory.

 

 

 

Dr. Gonze is a professor at Ecole Polytechnique de Louvain.  He is well known for density-functional theory of electron-phonon interaction and is also the primary developer of the ABINIT package.  He will speak about the electron-phonon interaction, and some recent developments based on many-body perturbation theory.

 

 

 

Dr. Kozik is a lecturer at King's College London.  He was a primary developer of Diagrammatic Monte Carlo (DiagMC), which samples Feynman diagrams to high order with Monte Carlo techniques.  He will speak of some of the successes and challenges of this new theory.

 

 

 

 

Dr. Weber is a lecturer at King's College London.  He implemented Dynamical Mean Field theory into a linear-scaling density functional package ONETEP, and will speak of recent developments in Dynamical Mean Field theory.
